continued

A continued gesture is just one that’s been continued since the prior utterance. Such gestures should be marked with a tilde (~).

disjoint prepositional phrase

A prepositional phrase in which the object of the preposition is fronted (For example: Is that what you were sitting on? Which box should we put it in?)
