    BNF grammar notation
        Backus-Naur Form notation.  A meta-syntax for describing context-free 
        grammars.  See the 
        `BNF <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backus-Naur_Form>`_ article on 
        Wikipedia for more details.

    continued
        A *continued* gesture is just one that's been continued since the prior
        utterance. Such gestures should be marked with a tilde (``~``).

    disjoint prepositional phrase
        A prepositional phrase in which the object of the preposition is 
        fronted (For example: *Is that what you were sitting on? Which box 
        should we put it in?*)
